A cloudy, cool day, but with a little less wind and some rain late evening

After another bright start, the cloud soon increased to cover the sky, with just a few bright intervals. The day felt cool, with a maximum temperature of 18.1C, still a little above average for mid-May. Late in the evening, a short period of rain and drizzle accumulated to 0.4mm, which usefully dampened the ground for the night (but presumably the slugs will take advantage).
