A rather cloudy and cool day on Saturday 14th May

After another sunny start, with a slight ground frost, cloud soon built up again on the cool north-westerly airstream, with one or two very brief, light showers coming along in the afternoon, but there were also a few sunny intervals. The ground is drying out again now, with no rain during the last week. The maximum temperature was 16.8C. Bees have been very busy around the French lavender and the Jasmine beesianum.
