Gusts to 41kt during the early part of the day as a deep low crossed Scotland. The cold front passed through around 1130, accompanied by heavy rain and strong gusts, as the wind veered from south-southwest to west-northwest and the temperature fell from a high of 12.4C to 8.0C in just a vew minutes.
